Frequently asked questions about Nedro House

How long it takes to build a wooden house?

The manufacturing of the house in the factory takes ussualy between 6 to 8 weeks. Transport of the house elements can take one week, depending on the location. Taking into consideration the construction system used (logs, timberframe or pillars and beams) and the size of the house, the construction can take between 3 to 8 weeks after the foundation was finished. The wooden houses are very fast to build and the construction site is very clean, comparing to a traditional building system (concrete, bricks).

Does a wooden house need to be built during summertime?

No, we can build our houses during whole year, but, sure, we must avoid rain and big snowfalls. The nice thing about this system is that we can build in any time of the year.

Does the construction site need any special preparations before the assembly of the wooden part of the house?

The site must have road access for heavy trucks and small cranes, the foundation should be completed and the ground smoothed.

Does the wood crack or modify in time?

No, it doesen't. The laminated logs that we use in our Nedro houses are made only from dry wood, so they keep their dimensions, shape and look.
