Advantages of wooden houses
Energy efficient
Wood is a natural insulator and is very effective in insulating cold and heat. This means saving a significant amount of energy when compared to stone, concrete and brick houses - you save up to four times more energy than a traditional brick-built house, and the insulation helps to keep a comfortable ambient temperature inside, during both winter and summer. As well as being a good thermal insulator, wood is also an excellent noise absorber, making wooden houses warm, relaxing and peaceful.

Economically efficient
The total cost of a wooden house is significantly lower than the cost of a similar house made from concrete, brick or stone. Why we say that?
- Because of the way these types of buildings are constructed and the careful planning of their construction, they are quick to build when compared to buildings made from materials such as stone or concrete. This fast build represents a significant monetary saving.
- The lightweight structure of a wooden house require a less expensive foundation.
- Wood is cheaper than concrete, stone, or metal framing.
- The most important and long term saving comes from the costs with heating and cooling, wich are with 20-40% lower than the costs involved with a concrete or stone house, because of the termal insulation of the wooden house design.
Architecturally versatile
Our design methods make it easy to make changes and modifications to your build. Making additions, changing the plot size or moving around rooms within the design are all feasible allowing you to get the home in the style you want. Whether it's a conventional home or something more modern, the choice is yours. Our houses can have virtually any design you want.
Environmentally friendly
Made from the sustainable, renewable timber, these buildings are not only environmentally friendly with regards to where they come from and how they get there, but what they do when built: wooden structures actively help the environment by absorbing and storing atmospheric CO2.
Natural product
Grown in the clean, pure air of mountain forrests, our timber is both natural and organic. A beautiful, strong product provided by nature.
Earthquake resistance
Wooden houses are without doubt the safest and most durable form of construction in earthquake conditions. They are lightweight and can stand the horizontal forces imposed during an earthquake. Timber will flex and return to its original shape, unlike concrete and masonry buildings. Joints are also a major fail zone in traditional buildings as the reinforcing or joints will loosen during an earthquake and cause the building to fail. This does not happen with wooden houses and it is rare for a timber frame building to collapse if engineered and erected correctly.
You can see in the videos bellow the remarkable resistance at earthquakes of wooden structures.
